Yogurt & Honey mask

Lemon is a boost of Vitamin C. There’s nothing like vitamin C for brightening the skin. Raw honey is antibacterial, gentle yet nourishing. Eucalyptus helps to detox the skin. Yogurt is a multitasker when it comes to applying it to the skin and here are some wonderful benefits of using this DIY mask.

It moisturise and hydrates the skin thanks to the lactic acid present in the yogurt, easing the tired look.
Moreover, the lactic acid present in yogurt inhibits the production of an enzyme called tyrosinase and it brights the skin. This enzyme handles the production of melanin. Melanin causes your skin tone to darken. When melanin production is inhibited, you end up with a brighter skin tone.

Yogurt is a great skin exfoliant. Lactic acid, is the natural alpha hydroxyl acid and does not irritate the skin and ensures proper removal of dead skin cells. This stimulates the cells to renew faster.

For a flawless skin, the zinc present in yogurt reduces skin inflammation and the amount of oil produced by the sebaceous glands. The probiotics in yogurt destroy the bacteria. The zinc also helps to lighten blemishes and scars and also brightens the skin tone. Using yogurt face mask regularly will help to get rid of those dark circles once and for all.

The zinc is the key to soothing sunburns. It will help ease the burning, the itching sensations, the redness and help in balancing the natural oils on your skin.

Pumpkin and Manuka Honey mask

Pumpkin has so many beneficial components for the skin. As the International Dermal Institute says, “Pumpkin is packed with fruit enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), which increase cell turnover, to brighten and smooth the skin.” Pumpkin is also filled with wonderful vitamins like A and C which boost collagen production to prevent the signs of aging. Pumpkin has minerals as well as zinc and magnesium to name just a couple and it is high in anti aging antioxidants. It’s high vitamin content helps to replenish skin while its high enzyme content helps remove dead skin.

On the other side, honey’s natural antiseptic properties help prevent infections and protect wounds, says Dr. Engelman, which can reduce scarring and cut down on healing time. The antioxidants in Manuka honey are more than ready to serve as a natural remedy to nourish your damaged skin and bring it back to its unblemished glory.
